Counselling Plans for Coming out of Lockdown in July (was June) 2021

UPDATE (14th June, 2021) – the government has announced a 4-week extension to lockdown easing in England; Monday 19th July will be the next target date.

After the Government announced plans on how we move / hope to move out of lockdown by June 2021, my plans for my counselling practice are to continue offering online/video counselling for the foreseeable future. I am not planning to add a face-to-face component to my work at this time.

This means:-

  • All existing counselling for couples contracts will continue using video (Zoom/Skype etc) as before – we will work together for as long as it takes us to decide to say goodbye.
  • All new counselling for couples contracts will be offered as online/video counselling only (as described in the appropriate places on this website).
At the end of the day my specialty is working in counselling with LGBT/QIA+ Couples via video media, and I will continue to offer this as my primary service. 👍🏻

Baring in mind that clients’ availability may change as their work situations change, we will try to accommodate this as far as we can. But where we can’t find any common times to be available we may have to postpone our work to a later date – or bring our work to a close (possibly for a couple to consider engaging with another counsellor if they wish).

We’ll do our best for each couple’s circumstances.
